Who we are

Hi, I’m Tammy.

Most people spend their early retirement planning vacations or remodeling the kitchen. I decided to buy a stethoscope and go back to college.

After working for the government for 27 years, I retired to pursue a completely new dream: Nursing. I walked into my first Anatomy & Physiology class ready to learn… and immediately realized I was one of the only ones in the room who had a mortgage and a fluctuating metabolism.

The Reality Check

I am surrounded by brilliant 20-year-olds who type faster on their smartphones than I can on a keyboard. They can pull all-nighters and survive on iced coffee.

I don’t have that luxury.

I have a household to run. I am a 51-year-old woman with four adult children who no longer live at home, but life doesn't stop just because I have a Pharmacology exam. I realized early on that I couldn't study harder—I didn't have the hours. I had to study smarter.

Why This Blog Exists

I started exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) not because I’m a tech wizard, but out of necessity. I needed an assistant.

I needed a way to summarize 50 pages of reading while the lasagna was baking. I needed to streamline my schedule so I wouldn't miss a clinical rotation.

I discovered that tools like ChatGPT and Gemini aren't just for tech companies or kids trying to cheat on essays. They are the ultimate secret weapon for adults managing their busy lives.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is for the busy adults (the mature students, and the busy moms and dads) who want to use technology to get their sanity back.

  • No "Tech Bro" Talk: I promise to explain everything in plain English.

  • Real Life: If a tool doesn't work for a chaotic schedule, I won't recommend it.

  • The "Second Act" Advantage: Proving that it’s never too late to learn something new—and that we can use the same tools the kids use to beat them at their own game.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s get organized.

Let’s Figure This Out Together

I’m not a tech guru—I’m just a wife and a student trying to keep my grades up and my sanity intact. I’m learning this as I go, and I’d love to hear from you.

Are you using AI to manage your chaotic schedule, or does the whole idea still feel a little "sci-fi" to you? Whether you have a specific question about AI or just want to share your own "mom hack," drop a comment below or send me a message.

If I don't know the answer, I promise we’ll figure it out together. Let’s get to graduation—or at least get dinner on the table—a little faster!
